LaserStick

The LaserStick is a mobility aid for Parkinson's patients. These devices use laser projection technology to project a green laser line as a visual cue, enhancing spatial awareness and improving safety. The LaserStick includes audio cues such as rhythmic metronome-like sounds to help regulate walking pace which is helpful in gait timing for Parkinson’s. This along with the laser line prevents gait freezing, enhances safety and promotes mobility.

Parkinson’s disease, the second most common neurodegenerative disease, affects over 10 million people worldwide. This progressive neurological disorder affects movement, causing symptoms like tremors, stiffness, and balance issues.

Freezing of gait (FoG) is a common symptom of Parkinson’s disease which brings about frustration as one would experience temporary bouts of their feet being "glued to the ground", making it difficult to walk independently.

This laser walking stick for Parkinson's is a lightweight walking stick designed to combat Freezing of Gait (FoG) using clinically proven visual and audio cueing techniques. This walking stick with laser line and metronome beat enhances mobility and prevents falls - all at an accessible price.

Michael J Fox

"I often say now I don't have any choice whether or not I have Parkinson's, but surrounding that non-choice is a million other choices that I can make."
